Essential Functions Consultant:
* Consultants function as integrators between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet clients' business needs. Information Management Consultant candidates are required to have:
* 2+ years of relevant technology architecture consulting or industry experience.
* Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent professional experience.
* Understanding the benefits of data warehousing, data architecture, data quality processes, data warehousing design and implementation, table structure, fact and dimension tables, logical and physical database design, data modeling, reporting process metadata, and ETL processes
The Information Management team is looking for BI Analysts for a project located in Merrifield VA
Deloitte Federal Information Management Practice is looking for a BI Consultant will be part of an integrated project team engaged in Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing solution at a major federal government client. The consultant must be experienced in with functional and technical aspects of report development, dashboard design, SQL development working within a portal environment (SharePoint, WebSphere, Oracle). The candidate will provide client delivery in requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment. This person will become an integral part of a dynamic and growing Information Management team.
The candidate must quickly develop a broad understanding of the programs and initiatives of the client in the area of policy, strategy and compliance/reporting. S/he should be able to set priorities in work assignments and work well in a diverse and dynamic environment. The consultant will:
· Candidate should have strong communication skills and be able to refine reporting requirements with the client.

· You should have experience in implementing and reporting and dashboard solutions

· You should have exposure to web infrastructure technologies (Portals, firewalls, DMZ's, networking, etc.)
· As a BI Developer, your role may include the following responsibilities:
• Review functional requirements and specification documents; interview end users to refine requirements.
• Research source data locations to validate requirements
· Drives delivery of business solution documentation for implementation of new business processes/procedures.
· Supports business development and proposal efforts by contributing to the written functional components of proposals.
· Prepares timely and quality client deliverables that meet or exceed team manager's and client's expectations.
· Assists in the development of a determined amount of new business and/or identifies follow on work under existing engagement.
Required Skills
2+ years of experience with Crystal Reports (version 11).
2+ years of working experience with SQL
Working knowledge of BI concepts and data warehousing concepts
Able to obtain a secret clearance
1+ years experience in OLAP server technology designing data models, metadata, cubes and drill-thru reports
1+ years of total BI development experience (Cognos, Business Objects,BOBJ, Oracle OBIEE, SAS, and Microsoft BI).
1+ year database optimization and SQL tuning experience, with Oracle 9i or 10g
Bachelor's Degree
Good communication skills.
