Federal Practice - Deloitte Consulting LLP
Deloitte Consulting's dynamic Federal Practice based in Washington D.C. and the surrounding Metropolitan area has opportunities for you to become part of their high-quality team that delivers innovative solutions to key Federal clients in financial management, business process improvement, strategy and operations, information systems development, package implementation, enterprise transformation, business process and applications outsourcing, and a full range of human capital advisory services.
The individual will be working on a public sector project supporting the development of five distinct applications. He/she will serve as functional lead for at least one of these applications. In this role, this individual will oversee the development and delivery effort of the software, including the collection of new requirements from customers, coordinating with the technical team to develop software and test changes, writing delivery documentation such as software release notes and installation guides, and coordinating an assortment of other activities, e.g., testing, training, communications, and pilot activities. In addition, this individual will oversee production support of the application to the user community. It should be noted that this individual will communicate with government (HDQ and overseas personnel) and industry personnel on a daily basis.

* Strong writing skills (general as well as technical)
* Strong technical skills
* Excellent communications (client/customer communications, interaction with other vendor(s)), writing, organization, and multitasking skills, in addition to technical skills. Knowledge of leading and current technologies and tools helpful.
* Daily interaction with clients in high-demand environment is normal. Very high expectations for exceptional level of client performance. This is a key client with very high delivery expectations.
* Strong communication and management skills
* Well organized with attention to detail
* Strong software functional and database testing skills
* Software Design/architecture development experience
* Software development testing/production support experience
* Requirements Development
* Strong technical writing skills
* Understanding of software development and quality methodologies (SDLC, RUP, CMMi)
* Understanding of client server applications
* Familiarity with Technical documents (SDS, SRS, test scripts, etc)
* 4 year degree from an accredited university
* US Citizen
* Current Secret clearance or ability to successfully obtain a secret clearance
* Minimum of 3 years of professional work experience is required
Position-specific Desired Skills
* Project Mgmt Professional (PMP) certified
* IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 certified
* CMMI experience
* Experience with Req Pro
* Proven ability to interact with team of developers
* Understanding of web-based software development and experience with Microsoft .Net 2.0
* Understanding of and experience with object oriented software design models
Logistics
* Position will be primarily based out of a local Deloitte office with limited travel to the client site
